As a serving member of the National Guard, I want to say a heartfelt thanks to those who have served before me. You are the examples that my fellow soldiers and I strive to live up to, and your service and sacrifices should never be forgotten.

I and my family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to every veteran who has fought valiantly and nobly in defense of the freedoms we hold dear.
Our extended family counts a relatively young veteran among us and another who is currently enlisted. Their sacrifices serve to deepen our collective appreciation for the sacrifies of all who served before and will serve after.
